’83 Hurst/Olds #429 of 3001 built. Built on 12-20-1982. Purchased from original owner August 8, 2003 in Tifton, GA who purchased from Prince Chevrolet-Oldsmobile, Inc. PO Box 128, HWY. 82 W. in Tifton, GA 31792 on January 31, 1983. I have copy of GA title, dealers invoice window sticker, retail installment sale contract, build sheet, Oldsmobile pre-delivery inspection check sheet, Oldsmobile owners manual, Hurst/Olds option manual, buyer protection manual, radio manual, and tire manuals. Also loan documentation stating original owner date of birth which was in 1936. A very well documented, cared for, and un-restored vehicle. A very solid southern car which has all its original paint, rare sand drift (gray) interior, and W40 Hurst package which includes the infamous Hurst Lightning Rod shifter. This is the 15th Anniversary Edition of the Hurst/Olds collection. A true beauty, an eye catcher, and definitely a collectible. Car has been autographed by Jack ‘Doc’ Watson who was one of desiginers and innovators of the Hurst/Olds project. Also autographed by Linda Vaughn “Miss Hurst”. Both autograph’s are documented by photos with each. Car has paraded the Indianapolis Brickyard race track on two occasions – 2004 & 2009. Both documented by photos of the car passing the brick finish line. This is a great car which would be an excellent authentic collectible item. Asking 400.00

@eastatlantavet First of all they are called Hurst Lightning Rod Shifters. The one on the left is park, reverse, neutral, overdrive and drive. The one in the middle is second gear and the one on the right is first.

@AldoNovaRocks By the way, how is she on gas? It’s not like I’ll ever stop loving it but it would be good to know.
@AldoNovaRocks Thanks, I will, as if I had a choice. I can’t stay away.
@Joshwilliams7 – Keep the faith and save that money. The ’83 Hurst/Olds is a wonderful car to own.
That is my dream car! My (much) older brother has an ’83 with a red interior that he baught from a friend’s friend for $1500! Recently his back realy got screwed up and he can’t get in and out of it. Good news is if I can work up $2,000 I could enjoy the first car I ever loved. Untill then, keep dreaming…
Yes, the vehicle is still for sale. For those who I have not responded to – I have been really short on spare time. Please be patient.

Man, You have beautiful ’83 Hurst, love these cars, Had a mint ’77 Cutlass in High School with the 442 options, also had a loaded ’87 442 with T-Tops that I regrettably sold back in winter of 2006, it was charcaol gray with gray interior and had every factory option including the rare fiber optic headlight dimmers. That car turned heads every time I took her out, especially since it had true duals and no cat, no emissions in West Virginia. That car would fly, the 307 tuned right was no slouch.
