A discussion of local, federally funded loan sources for small businesses. These lenders are state and local municipalities who receive annual funding from the federal government. They are available in every state – BUT they are NOT advertised. You wont find these programs in the yellow pages. You have to know what they are and where to apply. Two sources discussed are the Community Development Block Grant program and SCORE (Counselors to America’s Small Businesses).
